BUILD DAY!!!

See below for a group photo of our playground build today. It was a success & the kids were having a ball when they were able to access the playground. Thanks to our many volunteers & the carpenters for the outdoor classroom. More pictures will be coming in the days ahead.

TRANSFORMATION OF A PLAYGROUND - DAY 5

Today was a challenging day working in the rain, but despite it, we were able to accomplish a lot. All of the pieces that had to be welded are now done & the cement was poured for the swing, as well a few other pieces of equipment. Volunteers will have an assortment of tasks to complete when they come on Saturday, including building a retaining wall, putting together several climbing structures, activity boards, railings & slides.

Hats off to the volunteers that we had today & glad they were able to stay the day, despite the inclement weather!

TRANSORMATION OF A PLAYGROUND - DAY 4

What a day!

After arriving at the playground at 8 am, we started laying out the groundwork for the vertical posts, which the play equipment & platforms mount on. Quite a bit was accomplished & a lot was prepared for the volunteers, who will be arriving on Saturday.
